Tiger Woods Is a Proud Caddy for Son Charlie Amid Golf Winning Streak

Tiger Woods and his son are quite the winning pair!

The golf champion's 14-year-old, Charlie Axel Woods, is following in his legendary father's well-appointed footsteps, and taking on his beloved sport with a bang.

On Sunday, Sept. 24, the young man showcased undeniable skill as he advanced to the Notah Begay III National Championship, after winning in the second round of the 14-15 age division in the Last Chance Regional. But he didn't complete the feat without aid from the golf great, as his dad was right by his side, proudly caddying for his son during the competition's second round.

For those unfamiliar with the sport, a caddy is the person who mainly carries a player's bag and clubs or discs, and gives the player advice and moral support throughout.

Following the win with a score of 66, the teenager spoke on how it feels to have his dad out there with him. “We just stay in our own little world,” Charlie said of the family affair. He also mentioned that his father helps to level him, in a sense. "We just take it one shot at a time; he puts me in my place," he noted, mentioning how his dad helps him to "focus" on the task at hand and not get ahead of himself.

On Instagram, the father-son link-up was caught on camera, with other members of the golf community reveling over the major moment. Shane Croft, whose son Chase also competed on Sunday, dubbed the outing beyond "epic" as he got to caddy alongside Tiger.

"Ok, EPIC would in no way be a big enough word to describe today," Croft wrote alongside a collection of images shared. "Honestly, there is no way to express what this was like. Four hours one-on-one with Charlie and Tiger was just unreal," he continued, gushing, "This will be a story my family talks about on my deathbed one day. And it will be a proud moment for sure."

Next up, Charlie is set to compete at Koasati Pines at Coushatta Casino Resort in Louisiana in November.

His famous father, for his part, is widely regarded as one of the greatest golfers of all time, and is currently tied with Sam Snead for most wins in PGA Tour history.

At this rate, Charlie is well on his way to being his dad's true prodigy!
