Tiger shark sighting prompts warning signs at East Oahu beach

Apr. 27—Warning signs were posted today after the sighting of a large tiger shark at an East Oahu beach park.

A non-aggressive 10- to 12-foot tiger shark was seen 50 yards offshore at Waimanalo Beach Park around 1:30 p.m., according to the Emergency Services Department.

Beachgoers are advised to check with a lifeguard for the latest ocean conditions.
