Tiffany Haddish Fans Sound Off About DUI in Recent Worrisome Video

On Friday, Nov. 24, Tiffany Haddish was reportedly arrested on suspicion of DUI after she was found asleep at the wheel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

At roughly 5:45 a.m., police received a call about a car stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive, TMZ reported. The vehicle's engine was running, and the comedian was allegedly slumped over the steering wheel.

Haddish was arrested at around 7:30 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, per USA Today, and is facing a misdemeanor DUI charge. (She was released from custody in time to perform at the Laugh Factory in Long Beach Friday night.)

In her most recent Instagram post, published late on Nov. 23, Haddish told viewers that the Emma Habesha Restaurant in Inglewood, Calif., wouldn't let her enter the building.

"Yep, it's a party in there. Cars parked all up and down the street, but they won't let the Haddish in," she said. "They said that they ain't letting nobody else in." Ultimately, the men let her in, and the video ends with Haddish dancing and making her way to the bar.

The comedian's followers sounded off in the comments section about her reported arrest. One person wrote, "I’m a fan, whose son was killed by a drunk driver. You are fortunate a family was not impacted by your inebriated choice. I pray that you understand your selfishness and potential impact."

Another Instagram user commented, "You are rich. Why drink and drive? Take care of yourself and others."

Yet another person wrote, "Girl get a d--n ride to the parties! No more DUI’s"

Still, plenty of Instagram users offered words of support.

One Instagram user pleaded, "Girlllll please get help. You could if killed someone. This is your second time. Get sober. There’s nothing wrong with getting help. 🙏🏼"

Another person commented, "Let's pray for her guys. She needs deliverance. The whole situation with Jennifer Hudson and Common being a new couple got her out of sinc. She hasn't gotten over him yet dumping her."

Yet another follower wrote, "I love you Tiffany. Always have someone who can drive you. Don't worry about the negative comments, they'll be on somebody else's page being negative too. Real fans will hold you accountable without talking shit. Peace and happiness Tiff."

In January 2022, Haddish was arrested for DUI in Peachtree City, Ga.—that time, after police found her asleep at the wheel on a highway. She was released from jail after posting bond.

Parade has reached out to Haddish's rep for comment but did not immediately hear back.
