Tickets for the 2022 Capital One Orange Bowl are now on sale.

The historic bowl game, which first was first played in 1939 between Bucknell and Miami, will take place at Hard Rock Stadium Dec. 30 and kickoff at either 7:30 p.m. or 8 p.m.

It will pit the ACC champion (or the next highest ranked team if the conference champion makes the College Football Playoff) against the highest ranked, non playoff, non champion from the Big Ten, SEC or Notre Dame.

Last year the Georgia Bulldogs routed the Michigan Wolverines 34-11 at Hard Rock Stadium to advance to the College Football Playoff Championship game. UGA then went on to beat Alabama with a similar score of 33-18 to secure the Dawgs’ first national championship in over 30 years.

The last time two non-Playoff teams battled in the Orange Bowl was when Texas A&M defeated No. 14 UNC 41-27 after the 2021 season. The win garnered the Aggies their highest final AP poll ranking since 1939, filing in at No. 4.

The ACC has won the most Orange Bowls to date, with its current member teams accounting for 47. The SEC ranks second with 43, while the Big Ten has 35.

Tickets for the 2022 bow game can be purchased at www.orangebowl.org, or by contacting the Orange Bowl ticket office at 305-341-4701 or tickets@orangebowl.org.
