BASEBALL

Kimberly 3, Oshkosh North 0

KIMBERLY - Brady Koester and Ayden Tomlinson combined on a two-hit shutout in the Papermakers’ win over the Spartans.

Koester allowed both Oshkosh North hits to Colton Angell. Koester walked two and struck out nine. Tomlinson walked two and struck out one in the seventh.

Kimberly had only two hits, doubles by Koester and Carson Medden. Medden drove in two runs.

Zachary Kiffmeyer took the loss for Oshkosh North.

Hortonville 9, Oshkosh West 4

OSHKOSH - The Polar Bears scored three times in the first and four in the fourth as they cruised to the Fox Valley Association win.

Bo Anderson doubled and drove in three runs, while Kameron Chronis had three hits and Rece Much and Zander Locy had two each.

Taiven Gass picked up the win, pitching 4⅓ innings, allowing eight hits, three runs - all earned - with three walks and seven strikeouts.

Landon Ubrig had three hits for the Wildcats, while Jaxon Prill and Ricky Ludwig had two each.

Appleton North 8, Neenah 5

APPLETON - Logan Hudson had two hits and drove in two runs for the Lightning in the win over the Rockets.

Brandon Schopf added two hits and scored two runs, Matthew Hietpas had two hits, including a double, and Alex Ramus drove in two runs and scored two runs.

Ryan Tesch was the winning pitcher and Ramus picked up the save.

AJ Price had two hits, including a double, for Neenah. Payton Miller also had two hits.

Little Chute 3, Wrightstown 0

LITTLE CHUTE - The Mustangs’ Ethan Melendrez pitched a complete game, allowing two hits and three walks to go along with seven strikeouts in Little Chute’s win over the Tigers.

Kyler Marquardt had three hits, including a double, and drove in two runs for Little Chute. Grant Van Gompel had two hits.

Trevor Vande Hey had both of Wrightstown’s hits.

Aiden Humphreys took the loss for Wrightstown.

Denmark 10, Freedom 0

DENMARK - The Vikings improved to 8-3 overall and 7-2 in the North Eastern Conference with the win over the Irish.

Jaycob Dittmer threw a five-inning one-hitter. He struck out five.

Dittmer, Brandon Dvorak and Josh Gajeski each had two hits. Dvorak had two RBI.

Drew Kortz had the lone hit for Freedom, which fell to 7-7 overall and 3-6 in the conference.

Kiel 5, Chilton 4

KIEL - The Raiders scored three runs in the second inning to go ahead 4-0 and held on for the win over the Tigers.

Benjamin Kienbaum had two hits, including a triple, and two RBI for Kiel. Jackson Neese had one hit and two RBI, and Eyan Dessellier had two hits and an RBI.

Dessellier pitched five innings for the win. He allowed three hits, two runs (zero earned) and struck out 10.

Chilton was led by Slaytt Nolan, who had three hits and an RBI. Hunter Rolbiecki added two hits and Hudson Ludwig also drove in a run.

Peyton Juckem pitched six innings for Chilton. He allowed six hits, five runs (three earned) and struck out three.

Shiocton 3-5, Wittenberg-Birnamwood 2-0

SHIOCTON - James Mutchie singled in two runs in the bottom of the seventh in Game 1 to lead the Chiefs past the Chargers, as Shiocton earned the doubleheader sweep in Central Wisconsin Conference action.

The Chargers had taken a 2-0 lead with a pair of runs in the sixth, but the Chiefs answered by scoring all of their runs in the seventh.

In the nightcap, Shiocton scored two runs in the third and three in the sixth.

Bennett Schmidt, Braylon Krull, Ty Marcks and Jackson Young had two hits each to lead Shiocton.

SOFTBALL

Fond du Lac 4, Neenah 3

NEENAH - Ava Vermillion had three hits, including a double, and drove in a run to lead the Cardinals to the win over the Rockets.

Susan Vokes, who allowed three runs (one earned) and five hits over seven innings in the circle, also had two hits and an RBI for Fond du Lac. Reghan Ziegler had a solo home run.

Neenah fell to 4-4 in the Fox Valley Association with the loss.

Fond du Lac is now 3-7 in the FVA.

Menasha 13-18, Xavier 0-0

MENASHA - The Bluejays scored five runs in the second and five in the fourth to defeat the Hawks in the first game of the doubleheader.

Menasha had only four hits in the first game but took advantage of eight walks and four errors by Xavier.

Teagen Massey-Plamann pitched a five-inning complete game for Menasha, allowing two hits and two walks while fanning four.

Addison Hervey took the loss for Xavier

In the second game, Menasha pounded out 15 hits in the win over the Hawks.

Taylor Papendorf had four hits for Menasha, including two doubles, four runs scored and four RBI. Addie Lund had two hits, including a home run, scored three runs and drove in four. Hannah Neubert, Kelsie Mohr and Gabrielle Farr also had two hits. Mohr and Neubert had doubles. Mohr scored two runs and drove in three. Farr drove in two runs and Isabella Timm had two RBI.

Sam Shuey pitched the first three innings and got the win for Menasha.

Elsa Dvoracek took the loss for Xavier.

Fox Valley Lutheran 3, Clintonville 0

CLINTONVILLE - Madison Babcock pitched a no-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lead the Foxes to the win over the Truckers.

Babcock also had three hits for Fox Valley Lutheran. Claire Pfrang had two hits, including a triple, and scored three times for the Foxes.

Hilbert 14, Manitowoc Lutheran 2

MANITOWOC - The Wolves scored nine runs in the fifth inning to pull away from Manitowoc Lutheran in a Big East North matchup.

Kaylie Hernke, Riley Polifka, MaKayla Plate and Hannah Propson each collected two hits in the 11-hit attack for the Wolves. Propson and Megan Woelfel each drove in two runs, while Alandra Grenzer allowed just two runs and seven hits to earn the win.

Bree Hansen went 2-for-3 for Manitowoc Lutheran, and Madison Luebke and Aliyah Beeman drove in the Lancer runs.

GIRLS SOCCER

Luxemburg Casco 1, Fox Valley Lutheran 0

APPLETON - Diem Bonness had a corner kick that deflected off a Fox Valley Lutheran player for an own goal as the Spartans topped the Foxes in a North Eastern Conference matchup.

Luxemburg-Casco had seven shots on goal, while goalkeeper Tabi Lemens made five saves for the shutout.

Winneconne 2, Fond du Lac 1

WINNECONNE - Ava Pahl scored two goals for the Wolves in the nonconference win over the Cardinals.

Winneconne goalie Macy Dodd made one save.

Weyauwega-Fremont’s Broc Billington won the triple jump with a jump of 43-0 and the high jump at a height of 5-9. Oliver Nadjowski won the long jump with a jump of 19-8 and was on the winning 400- and 800-meter relay teams with times of :46.39 and 1:37.04, respectively. He ran with Kameron Zielke, Dawson Lind and Brayden Arndt on the 400 relay team and with Zielke, Arndt and Sawyer Kons on the 800 relay team. Lind also picked up a first-place finish in the 100 with a time of :11.80.

Cathryn Gunst took first in the high jump for Weyauwega-Fremont with a jump of 4-10. Chamille Birdyshaw, Olivia Sedlar and Raegan Farkas won the 800 relay with a time of 1:55.63. Farkas, Sedlar, Brooklyn Buss and Josslyn Clumpner won the 400-meter relay with a time of :57.03.
