Throwback: Danica Patrick’s Best Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Photos

Former NASCAR driver turned business woman Danica Patrick is on the list of notable athletes to pose for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.

Patrick, now 39, posed for the iconic Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue back in 2008 and 2009. She had an incredible experience with the magazine.

In fact, the former star athlete revealed that she would have loved to be a swimsuit model in another life. Patrick joked that she was actually on the cover of one of the issues, as well.

“I had so much fun. It was a great experience and I loved it completely. Like, I wish I was a swimsuit model because it was really fun,” she said.

Patrick added: “You could actually say I was on the cover. I had a little image in the top right corner of the cover. I think Bar Refaeli was the cover girl that year.”

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit released a behind-the-scenes look at the photos from Patrick’s shoot with the iconic magazine.

Patrick, who is in a new relationship this year, still likes being close to the water.
