The United States women’s national team got back on track this weekend, notching their first win of the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo.

The Americans, who suffered an upset loss to Sweden in their first game of the Summer Olympics, dominated New Zealand, 6-1, on Saturday.

“Sweden was a very good team and we didn’t play our best, and when you do that up against a top opponent, they’re going to punish you,” Crystal Dunn said after the game.

“So that wasn’t our best performance. I think we came into Game 2 knowing that we don’t go from being a really great team two days ago to not being a great team anymore.”

The USWNT are hoping to add another title to their resume. Back in 2019, the Americans won the World Cup in dominant fashion.

Abby Dahlkemper, who was a part of that 2019 championship team, is with the Americans at the Olympics this summer. Off of the field, Dahlkemper was among several United States women’s national team stars to pose for the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue in 2019.

With the 2021 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue being released, let’s take a look back on when Dahlkemper posed for the issue.

Dahlkemper spoke very highly of her experience with the magazine.

“I was kind of in disbelief because Sports Illustrated is such an iconic magazine to be a part of. I was just shocked… and honored and I was really excited about the opportunity to have people get to know me off the field and not in soccer clothes,” she wrote.

The 2021 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue is on newsstands now.
