After numerous appearances on TV classics such as “Alfred Hitchcock Presents” and “Rawhide,” Richman starred on the drama series “Cain’s Hundred” as ex mob-lawyer Nicholas Cain. But the series only lasted one season, exiting the airwaves in 1962.

In 1978, “Three’s Company” asked him to guest-star as Somers’ father, the stern yet understanding Reverend Snow.

His appearance was so well-received, he appeared twice more on the series.

“Comedy is musical,” said Somers in a statement to Fox News. “Peter Mark Richman and I understood the music from the very first time we appeared together on ‘Three’s Company.’ He knew his ‘stuff.’ We lost a good one. Rest in peace, Peter Mark Richman.”

He also was featured in 29 episodes of “Dynasty” as attorney Andrew Laird and 28 episodes of the daytime drama “Santa Barbara” as Marcy Walker’s wealthy father C.C. Capwell.
