Never in a million years did I think I'd be an all-inclusive girlie. But here I stand humbly corrected, because after a week-long getaway at Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa in Mallorca, Spain...I don't think I can do a vacay any other way.

If you've never heard of Mallorca, no worries, but you're kinda missing out. It's, like, one of the hottest vacation destinations atm, just a two-ish hour ferry from the celeb-loved island of Ibiza, with everything you could ask for in a Spanish island: picturesque beaches, mountain views, and, most importantly, seafood paella.

Since this was my first time at any all-inclusive resort (let alone in Spain!), I didn't really know what to expect, but as soon as I arrived to my room with an absolutely g-o-r-g-e ocean view, I immediately knew that my stay at Secrets was gonna be unforgettable (like, the type of trip that calls for three different back-to-back Instagram photo dumps). Let's get into it, shall we?

THE FIRST IMPRESSIONS!

An absolutely stunning hotel on the coast of Mallorca? Um, yes, please! After stepping off the plane from New York, this place was the perfect escape from all the noise, smog, and (ugh) overpriced food I'm used to in the Big Apple. The staff were incredibly kind—to the point that I thought I was being pranked—and from the moment I stepped into my room, the entire trip felt like I was dreaming. Every night I fell asleep to the sound of crashing waves, and every morning I woke up to the most insane beachfront views and a complimentary breakfast that put my daily Eggo Waffles to shame (more on that later).

THE ROOMS!

Just in case you didn't hear me before, y'all, the rooms at this place are luxe as hell. I honestly felt a bit guilty not spending as much time in my double frontal sea view room as I wanted, because it (and the rest of the property) reminded me a lot of the hotel featured in the second season of White Lotus (without the drama, ofc!). The room was airy and so bright, so you better believe I took advantage of the blackout curtains following a long day of exploring. But the best part was 100 percent the private balcony looking out towards the beach—an ideal spot for the welcome champagne waiting in my room upon arrival, if I do say so.

THE AMENITIES!

Although I was v tempted to sit on my room's private balcony for the entire trip (trust, I could've done this all day, every day), I was sure to check out the other spaces at the adults-only resort (for journalism!). These include an outdoor pool, sundeck, private beach, and luxurious cabanas that made me second guess ever going back to America. Every day I made it a point to lounge at the incredible pool (a piña colada may or may not have been present), which had a view of the ocean.

And don't let me forget about the spa, y'all! It offers everything from hydrotherapy and Turkish baths to a full gym (if that's your form of "treat yo' self"). I chose the relaxing massage—a treatment to improve microcirculation, release tension, and relax muscles. But let's just say it put me to sleep faster than a Benadryl on an empty stomach.

THE FOOD AND BEV!

One of the many reasons I've been converted to an all-inclusive stan? I realized you can (white) wine and dine without having to scour Yelp reviews for the nearest food spots. And luckily, Secrets had breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and everything in between completely covered.

I would start my day with a buffet breakfast (aka the best kind of breakfast) at World Café; get lunch at Olio, the poolside restaurant serving up Mediterranean cuisine (and killer fries!); and end with din-din at Gohan, the property's a la carte restaurant serving Asian cuisine and realllyyy good sushi. Sounds great, no?

THE BOTTOM LINE!

Don't get me wrong—a week at Secrets Mallorca Villamil Resort & Spa can be a bit of a splurge (heck, even getting to Mallorca in general can be pricey). But would I recommend visiting if you ever get the chance? Well, did Margot Robbie get snubbed at the Oscars? The answer is yes! It's so low-key and relaxing compared to large European cities, and just downright stunning.

I visited in September and honestly couldn't have asked for better weather. It wasn't too humid, but still warm enough to take a dip in the ocean. So, to make a long story short, I'd go back in a heartbeat, and you should too. Who's in?!
