MANITOWOC — Wanna start your own restaurant but not sure how to go about it?

Progress Lakeshore can help.

The nonprofit economic development organization will host its “So You Want to Start a Food Business Entrepreneurial Boot Camp” to give an introduction to the world of restaurant ownership from 5:30 to 8 p.m. April 10 at the Progress Lakeshore office, 202 N. Eighth St.

Here’s what you can expect to learn:

  1. Navigating health regulations and licensing: Gain valuable insights from the Manitowoc County Health Department. You’ll be equipped to navigate the landscape of regulations and licenses for food businesses.

  2. Learning about financial strategies and planning: The Universities of Wisconsin Food Finance Institute will provide financing information.

  3. Exploring different business structures and legal considerations: Hear from the Small Business Development Centers about what to consider when setting up your food business from a legal standpoint.
