West Ham boss David Moyes took exception to being asked about his future in the aftermath of last night's Europa League exit but it is a subject that will not go away.

Moyes' contract expires at the end of the season and he has refused to say whether he will sign an extension.

Players are bound to be asked about it, which is exactly what happened to midfielder James Ward-Prowse in the aftermath of the 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen, a result that sent West Ham out 3-1 on aggregate.

"I think he’s done an incredible job," said the England international.

"All I can say from this season is that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with him.

"We’re obviously unsure as to what’s going to happen but we’re focusing on making sure we finish the season as strongly as we can."

Ward-Prowse is adamant the chatter will not be a distraction on the run-in as West Ham try to secure enough points to get them back into Europe next season.

"As players you’re always so busy with the games and, for us, the next few will decide where we are next season so it’s important that we focus on them," Ward-Prowse added.
