Celebrate Super Bowl weekend with an evening downtown for live music, fundraising for Harvest Share, or perhaps indulge a few slices for National Pizza Day.

1. Makky Kaylor 60th Soiree at Puckett's

The Swanky South Crooner Makky Kaylor is reaching a real milestone this weekend with his 60th birthday bash at Puckett's in downtown Columbia.

Not only will he be marking a landmark year of life, but will also be one of his first shows returning to the stage following a recent open-heart surgery. Kaylor is also celebrating becoming a grandfather for the first time and wants to do what he does best, sing and perform for the town he calls home.

The concert will kick off starting at 7 p.m. Saturday and will feature many award-winning musicians straight from Music Row in Nashville, as well as a few surprise guests.

As of this week, reservations have been fully booked, but Kaylor says "Come on down anyway and we'll find a spot for you." For more information, call Puckett's at (931) 490-4550.

2. A Night of Hope for The Well Outreach

The Well Outreach will host a special concert event at the renowned Worldwide Stages, located in the Northfield Building at 5000 Northfield Lane.

The Night of Hope concert, which will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, will feature performances from award-winning Christian artist Michael W. Smith and Helen Smallbone.

The event will also feature a catered dinner, a live and silent auction and a whole lot more, all benefiting The Well Outreach's continued efforts to provide food and supplies to those in need.

Tickets range from $125 for individuals to $950 for tables of eight, as well as $175 for VIP meet & greet tickets and Hope Sponsor tables for $2,500.

3. Super Bowl Parties, Soup N Bowl for Harvest Share

This weekend's big game will be celebrated across the county with parties, good food and a chance to give back.

Harvest Share Food Pantry will host its annual Soup N Bowl fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Army Recruiting center at 800 S. James M. Campbell Blvd. The event will not only feature lots of great soups to eat, but also a charity auction.

Pillow Springs Golf, 119 Stonybrook Road, will also host its third annual Super Bowl Scramble starting at noon Sunday. Entry fee is $110 per person and participants will play with three-person teams. To register, text (931) 384-6196 for more information.

For viewing of Sunday's game, stop by The Tilted Mule, 102 Depot St. for its Big Game watch party starting at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The Rebel Bar & Grill, 307 Riverside Drive, will also host a Super Bowl viewing party starting at 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

For Spring Hill residents, Fozzy's Bar & Grill, 150 Stephen P. Yokich Parkway, will also be hosting a viewing party starting at 5 p.m. Sunday.

4. National Pizza Day at Muletown Pottery

Muletown Pottery and The Factory at Columbia will celebrate National Pizza Day this Friday, with pizza provided by The Pizza Place.

Friday will not only kick off a big weekend, but it's also National Pizza Day, which will be celebrated with gourmet slices at Muletown Pottery.

Muletown Pottery is located inside The Factory at Columbia, 101 N. James M. Campbell Blvd. Tickets are $40 to attend and includes a "paint your own pizza plate," as well as two slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza, as well as refreshments provided by The Pizza Place.

The event will take place from 5:30-7 p.m. Friday.

Wyatt Long will perform at Grinder's Switch Winery, 510 N. Garden St., starting at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Black Hole Sons will perform at Fozzy's Bar & Grill, 150 Stephen P. Yokich Parkway in Spring Hill, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday.

BOOMERANG will perform at The Boondox, 3351 Highway 431, starting at 7:45 p.m. Saturday.

Justin Bowman & The Drifters will perform at Twisted Copper Brewing Company, 121 S. Main St. in Mt. Pleasant, starting at 7 p.m. Saturday.
