The New Year's celebration keeps on rolling this weekend with the First Friday of 2024, line dancing, coffee house anniversaries and more.
1. First Fridays for the New Year
This week will wind down with more New Year festivities as the city celebrates its first First Friday of 2024.
Shops will stay open late, music, food trucks and more will be about this weekend for one of downtown Columbia's most attended events.
McCreary's Irish Pub will have Beatles 4 Sale performing starting at 7 p.m.
If you happen to stop by Asgard Brewing Company & Taproom, 104 E 6th St., the brewhouse will have The Murphy Ridge Band performing starting at 7:30 p.m., with EAT Columbia food truck.
And be sure to drop by East 6th Street for Maury Alliance's Strolling on The 6th block party.
2. Natchez Trace VIP Wine Tour
A great way for wine lovers to spend a weekend is visiting Maury County's local wine trail.
And it can start right in the heart of downtown Columbia.
The region's local wineries will host a special Wine Trail tour this weekend, starting at Grinder's Switch Winery, 510 N. Garden Street.
The trail will then continue to Keg Springs Winery, Amber Falls Winery & Cellars, as well as Natchez Hills Winery in Hampshire.
Each location will provide a VIP wine tasting, transportation, as well as a complimentary charcuterie box.
Tours are open Friday-Sunday and are available for booking at www.GSWinery.com.
3. Country Dance Night at The Mulehouse
Put on your best boots and head down to The Mulehouse, 812 S. High St., for a night of line dancing.
Join the Urban Cowboy Dancers starting at 7 p.m. Friday.
No experience or skill is required while you take part in two-step, swing or improv your own form of line dancing.
Tickets are $15 or $20 day of the show and are available at www.TheMulehouse.com.

4. Cult Persona one-year anniversary party
It's crazy how a year goes by for a local business, but one local coffee shop is celebrating the occasion this weekend.
Cult Persona Coffee + Wine, located in the Columbia Arts Building at 307 W. 11th St., will host its one-year anniversary this weekend from 6-9 p.m. Saturday along with next door business Buffalo Co. Salon and Barber.
Customers can take advantage of discounts throughout the day from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., including a free leather koozie (while supplies last), as well as other giveaways, drink specials and more.
5. Live entertainment
The Tennessee Four featuring Thomas Gabriel will perform at The Mulehouse, 812 S. High St., starting at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
Stevierock will perform at The Tilted Mule, 102 Depot St., starting at 7 p.m. Saturday.
BlueAshes Rock will perform at The Boondox, 3543 Highway 431, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Polly's Pocket will perform at Fozzy's Bar & Grill, 150 Stephen P. Yocich Parkway in Spring Hill, starting at 8 p.m. Saturday.
