Thieves smash door at Givenchy store in Manhattan, steal $80K in purses and clothes

A group of thieves bashed the glass front door of a pricey French boutique on the Upper East Side and cleared the place out early Wednesday.

The crooks smashed their way into the Givenchy store on Madison Ave. at. E. 65th St. in at about 4:30 a.m., cops said.

Once inside, they stole 39 purses and two ready-to-wear women’s garments, valued at about $80,000 in total, police said.

They then packed into two vehicles and drove off, police said.

Cops have made no arrests in the break-in.

Crooks have been known to put in the extra effort to steal from Manhattan’s boutiques.

In September, a trio of thieves, one dressed in a suit and tie, broke through two walls to get into the What Goes Around Comes Around pop-up boutique on Wooster St. in SoHo, stealing $385,000 in designer bags and clothes, cops said.

Earlier this year, a four-person armed robbery crew swarmed the Chanel boutique in SoHo, stealing nearly $200,000 worth of merchandise.

Eric Spencer, 29, faces federal charges and up to 20 years in prison for that midday Feb. 2 stickup at the Spring St. store.

The crew made off with 32 hand bags and 12 wallets, worth $189,500, and Spencer bragged on social media that he made off with so much he could “open a small boutique,” prosecutors said.
