A Cheeto Dust Statue Exists In CanadaFrito-Lay

You have to be pretty iconic to have a giant statue dedicated in your honor, and we can't think of anything more deserving of being immortalized than the orange, powdery particles that are Cheeto dust. Not only has Cheeto dust been honored with a larger-than-life statue in Alberta, Canada, it also has an official name now: Cheetle.

Standing at almost 17 feet tall, the statue was erected by the Cheetos brand and features a giant Cheeto that's held gingerly between three fingers which are adequately covered in Cheetos dust. Even more fitting is the fact that the Cheeto monument is currently located in Cheadle, Alberta. And yes, the city, which is home to just 83 people, was chosen due to its Cheeto-esque name.

“Cheetos fans have always known that the delicious, cheesy dust on their fingertips is an unmistakably delicious part of the Cheetos experience, but now it officially has a name: Cheetle,” said Lisa Allie, senior marketing director at PepsiCo Foods Canada, in a statement. “We’re excited to be celebrating Cheetle and Canadians’ cheesy, Cheetle-dusted fingertips on such a grand scale and in such a uniquely mischievous way.”

If you can't make your way to Alberta, the Cheetle statue will be hitting the road on November 4. That way you have a slightly better chance of snapping a selfie with the oversized Cheeto.

“While our residents will be the first to see the unique monument, we can’t wait for the rest of Canada to see it for themselves!” said James Gosteli, President of the Cheadle Community Club.
