Thanksgiving turkey, prime rib or lobster: Kansas City restaurants offering specials

The Elms Hotel & Spa

We’re compiling a list of Kansas City area restaurants serving special Thanksgiving dinners for dine-in or to-go.

Options range from a brown sugar glazed ham and sides for $22.95 to a turkey dinner for six to eight people for $425.

Reservations are recommended as some places are nearly sold out.

Affäre

Crossroads, 1911 Main St. Three-course dinner with a choice of turkey, roast tenderloin, walleye or vegetarian main course, along with an appetizer and salad. Optional wine pairings. Dine-in or to-go.

Hours: 1 to 6 p.m. (last seating is at 6 p.m.)

Cost: $85 for adults, $25 ages 12 and under.

The Capital Grille

Country Club Plaza, 4760 Broadway. It will have a dine-in menu that includes turkey with brioche stuffing and sides.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Cost: $47 for adults, $17 for children ages 10 and under.

It is nearly fully booked but is taking names in case of cancellations.

Chaz Restaurant & Lounge

325 Ward Parkway. Five-course prix fixe menu includes a choice of prosciutto-wrapped turkey breast or black pepper crusted seared twin tenderloin. Dine-in only.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Cost: $60 for adults, $24 for children ages 12 and under.

The Elms Hotel & Spa

401 Regent St., Excelsior Springs. All-you-can-eat Thanksgiving buffet includes roast turkey and gravy, macaroni and cheese with peppered bacon, and pumpkin pie. Dine-in only.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Cost: $60 for adults, $54 for those age 60 and older, $30 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and under.

Em Chamas Brazilian Grill

6101 N.W. 63rd Terrace. Brined and marinated turkey breast, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potato casserole, sides, soup and sticky toffee pudding. Dine-in only.

Hours: Noon to 6 p.m.

Cost: $54.95 for adults, $22.95 for children ages 6 to 12, and $9.95 for children ages 5 and under.

J. Gilbert’s Wood-fired Steaks & Seafood

8901 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park. Three-course traditional Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, stuffing, salad, sides and desserts. For dine-in or to-go.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Cost: $45 for adults, $21 for children 12 and under.

Lazia Restaurant

Crossroads, 2101 Central St. Three-course Thanksgiving dinner inspired by the restaurant’s Italian roots. Dine-in only.

Hours: 3 to 9 p.m.

Cost: $75 for adults, $25 children 12 and under.

Piropos Restaurant

The Village at Briarcliff, 4141 N. Mulberry Drive. Two choices for three-course specials: Traditional turkey dinner with salad and chocolate lava cake ($55 for adults, $22 for children ages 12 and under) or 14-ounce prime rib dinner with salad and crème brûlée ($65 for adults, $25 for children ages 12 and under). Dine-in only.

Hours: Noon to 7 p.m.

The Stilwell

Loews Kansas City, 1515 Wyandotte St. Turkey breast with fennel and mushroom stuffing, Yukon gold mashed potatoes topped with sage turkey gravy, and bourbon pumpkin pie. Dine-in only.

Hours: 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Cost: $26 per person for the entree and side, $10 for dessert. Children ages 12 and under get a smaller version of the entree for $13.

It also will have its full dinner menu.

Stock Hill

South Plaza, 4800 Main St., Suite G-001. Choice of brined and smoked turkey breast ($36), stuffed pork tenderloin ($39) or prime rib ($49). Sides will include cornbread stuffing and green bean casserole, as well as pumpkin pie and carrot cake for dessert. Dine-in only.

Hours: Noon to 8 p.m.

Some of its popular regular menu items will be available, including steaks.

Sullivan’s Steakhouse

Town Center Crossing, 4501 W. 119th St., Leawood. Three-course meal with soup or salad, roasted turkey with apple sausage stuffing, gravy, cranberry relish, two sides and desserts. Dine-in only.

Hours: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Cost: $49 for adults, $24 for children ages 12 and under.

Summit Grill

Gladstone, Lee’s Summit, Waldo. Roasted turkey dinner ($24.95), brown sugar glazed ham ($22.95), lobster stuffed salmon ($30.95) and slow roasted Angus prime rib ($35.95). It will have an option to add turkey or ham to the other entrees for $9.95. The dinners come with sides. Pumpkin pie with whipped cream will be $4.95. Dine-in only.

Third Street Social

Lee’s Summit, South Plaza. Roasted turkey dinner ($24.95), brown sugar glazed ham ($22.95), crab and shrimp stuffed stuffed salmon ($29.95) and slow roasted Angus prime rib ($35.95). It will have an option to add turkey or ham to the other entrees for $9.95. The dinners come with sides. Pumpkin pie with whipped cream is $4.95. Dine-in only.

The Town Co.

Hotel Kansas City, 1228 Baltimore Ave. Four-course dinner with a choice of salad or soup, choice of turkey or vegetarian option, sides and pie. Dine-in only.

Hours: Noon to 7 p.m.

Cost: $75 per person

Preorder, take home

The Capital Grille. Its “Thanksgiving Sides at Home” offer includes brioche stuffing, gravy, mashed potatoes, pecan-crusted sweet potatoes with hot honey, french green beans, cranberry-pear chutney, seeded roll, and pumpkin cheesecake. Preorder by Monday for pick up Tuesday.

Fiorella’s Jack Stack Barbecue, multiple locations. It is offering bourbon pecan or pumpkin pies, six to eight servings, for $30; and Belgian chocolate mousse pie, eight to 10 servings, for $32. Preorder for pick up Monday or Tuesday.

Hen House, multiple locations. It will offer Thanksgiving meals to-go. Menu items include sliced ham, smoked turkey, oven roasted turkey, prime rib, rotisserie turkey breast, glazed spiral cut ham, sides, pies, bakery items and more. Orders must be placed by Sunday.

Paros Estiatorio, Mission Farms, 10561 Mission Road, Leawood. Family Thanksgiving dinner to-go includes 14-pound turkey, chestnuts and sage stuffing, sweet potato casserole, cranberry chutney, spanakopita, whipped feta mashed potatoes with Vermont butter gravy, and baklava or pumpkin pie. It will serve six to eight people and cost $425. Orders must be placed by Monday.

Summit Grill and Third Street Social: Family meal packs include brown sugar glazed ham, turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread dressing, sides, salad, rolls and gooey butter cake. It feeds four to six people and costs $129.95. Orders must be placed by 3 p.m. Sunday.
