Thanksgiving Day closures

Nov. 21—Hours of operation at a number of offices and institutions will be affected by Thanksgiving Day on Thursday:

* Federal, state, city and county nonemergency offices, including public libraries, courts and recreation centers, will be closed Thursday and Friday.

* Mail service will be suspended Thursday.

* Santa Fe Trails buses will not operate Thursday but will operate Friday on a Saturday schedule.

* The North Central Regional Transit District Blue Bus system will not be in operation Thursday and Friday. However, the RTD Mountain Trail bus between downtown Santa Fe and Ski Santa Fe will be in operation.

* Rail Runner Express passenger trains will not be in service Thursday and will operate Friday on a Saturday schedule.

* Santa Fe public schools will be closed from Wednesday through Friday, as will Santa Fe Community College.

* There will be no residential trash and recycling collection Thursday; Thursday's collection will occur Friday. Commercial trash pickup will remain as scheduled.

* Santa Fe County solid waste transfer stations will be closed Thursday and Friday and resume regular hours Saturday.

* Many financial institutions, including banks, will be closed Thursday.
