Looking to hit the shops this Thanksgiving? Think again, as major chains prepare to close for the holiday. But don't fret, stores will be back open in time for Black Friday sales to mark the holiday shopping season.

Some Michigan malls and stores are closing, while others will remain open with limited holiday hours. Here's a look at businesses across Michigan this Thanksgiving.

Malls

  • Birch Run Premium Outlets: Closed, reopens Black Friday

  • Briarwood Mall: Closed, open Black Friday 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Fairlane Town Center: Closed, open Black Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Great Lakes Crossing Outlets: Closed, open Black Friday 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Lakeside: Closed, open Black Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

  • Oakland Mall: Closed, open Black Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
