Texas vs. Oklahoma State in Big 12 Championship: Score, highlights as Longhorns win 49-21

For the first time since 2009, Texas football has won the Big 12 Championship.

The No. 7 Longhorns (12-1, 8-1 Big 12) dominated No. 18 Oklahoma State (9-4, 7-2) 49-21 on Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, strengthening its case for a College Football Playoff berth.

Quarterback Quinn Ewers was sensational against the Cowboys, completing 35 of 46 passes for a Big 12 Championship-record 452 yards with four touchdowns and an interception. His four touchdowns tied the Big 12 title game record in addition to setting the yards record, and he was named the Big 12 Championship's Most Outstanding Player for his efforts.

Texas built a 35-14 lead at halftime and went on auto pilot in the second half by executing long drives to burn the clock. On the afternoon, the Longhorns gained 662 yards to Oklahoma State's 281, holding possession for over 40 minutes.

Texas ran for 198 yards and three touchdowns as a team, led by Keilan Robinson's eight carries for 75 yards and two touchdowns.

The Longhorns are now in wait-and-see mode, hoping to earn their first College Football Playoff berth in program history as the SEC, Big Ten, and ACC play out the rest of the day. Alabama and Georgia are both ostensibly in the running, Michigan could effectively clinch with a win, and Florida State would make an extremely compelling case with a win over Louisville to become an undefeated ACC champion.
