The Terminal List Prequel Series, Starring Chris Pratt and Taylor Kitsch, Officially a Go at Amazon

We’re officially getting the origin stories of two Terminal List characters.

Prime Video announced on Thursday that it has ordered The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, a prequel series focused on Ben Edwards and James Reece, the characters respectively played by Taylor Kitsch and Chris Pratt on the main Navy SEAL drama. Kitsch and Pratt have also been confirmed to star in the offshoot, though it’s not yet clear how much earlier the Dark Wolf prequel will be set.

Thursday’s announcement comes almost one year after a Terminal List prequel focused on Kitsch’s character was reported to be in development at the streamer. The mothership was also renewed for Season 2 at that time, but there’s still no update on when that series will return.

“This season promises to be even more intense and action-packed than the first, and I can’t wait for everyone to see it,” Pratt said in a statement at the time. “And for those who are fans of Taylor Kitsch‘s Ben Edwards, I’m happy to say that we’re also working on a spinoff series that will delve deeper into his story and follow his journey from a Navy SEAL to a CIA operative. And to make it even more exciting, I will also be appearing in this prequel series! I promise you it will be just as thrilling and engaging as The Terminal List.”

Added Kitsch, “Thank you to all the fans for believing in this show, we wouldn’t be here without your support. I’m excited to continue this wild ride that is Ben Edwards and bring to life Jack Carr’s amazing stories.”

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf hails from The Terminal List‘s producing team, as well as Carr, who authored the novel series on which The Terminal List is based.

Production on Dark Wolf is slated to begin early this year. Will you be watching the show?
