Tennis Champ Naomi Osaka Shows Off Post-Baby Bod in Crop Top and Micro Skirt

Naomi Osaka stepped out for her first public red carpet appearance since welcoming her child.

The new mama, who gave birth in July to a baby girl named Shai with her beau, rapper Cordae, showed off her post-pregnancy bod in a lavender lacy cropped lingerie-style top and a micro mini skirt for the Victoria's Secret Celebrates The Tour '23 function held at Hammerstein Ballroom on Sept. 6 in New York City.

The outfit, which was fittingly appropriate for the occasion (it is Victoria's Secret, after all), was worn underneath a matching light purple-hued oversized button-up blouse. The tennis star dressed the look down by trendily pairing it with white low-top Nike Air Force One sneakers.

For beauty, the four-time Grand Slam singles champion went subtle with makeup, while her hair was worn down in loose curls with fringe bangs.

Osaka making this specific function her first appearance postpartum isn't surprising, as she is also one of the brand's collaborators, creating the Victoria's Secret x Naomi Osaka collection of "carefully curated styles" of pajamas, sleepwear, and undergarments.

"I think my definition of 'undefinable' is basically someone who can't fit in a box—just being yourself," a quote from the tennis star reads on the lingerie retailer's website.

During the event, Osaka gave an update on her experience so far with motherhood, after giving birth just eight weeks ago. "It's very interesting, but very rewarding," she told ET of the new journey, adding, "I'm doing good."

The pro athlete also confirmed her planned return to compete, noting she can "of course" be expected next year at the Australia Open. "I went to the [U.S.] Open earlier today and it just brought me so much inspiration, so I'm very excited," she said.

As for taking time away from the sport, the 25-year-old admitted the break has made her "a lot more grateful."

She continued: "Just a lot of little things I took for granted, now I'm kind of looking at it and since I can't play competitively right now, it's really making me itch to come back."
