Tennessee Titans score vs. Houston Texans: Live NFL Week 15 updates

The Tennessee Titans will once again try to score their first AFC South win of the season on Sunday against a depleted Houston Texans team looking to rebound off a tough loss.

The Titans (5-8) host the Texans (7-6) at Nissan Stadium on Sunday (noon, CBS) in a battle of teams coming off wildly different outcomes last week. The Titans snagged their biggest win of the year Monday, beating the Miami Dolphins 28-27 by overcoming a 14-point deficit in the final three minutes of the fourth quarter to win in regulation. The Texans, meanwhile, lost 30-6 against the New York Jets in one of their worst offensive showings of the season.

Will Levis, the Titans' rookie quarterback, is coming off one of his most productive games. He threw for 327 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Dolphins, including leading the two scoring drives in the final minutes of the game.

This is the first of two meetings between the Titans and Texans that will come in quick succession. They also will play on Dec. 31 in Houston.

Tennessee Titans score vs. Houston Texans: Live NFL updates

FINAL: Texans 19, Titans 16

The Texans get the ball back and finally hit a big play. Devin Singletary is left all alone on a 41-yard catch and run. Singletary has a 34-yard touchdown run nullified by a holding penalty two plays later.

That pushes Houston's offense back to the Tennessee 36-yard line. The Texans decide that's as far as they need to go, let the time run down to a few seconds and call timeout. Ka'imi Fairbairn's 53-yard field goal is good. Texans win.

Tough, tough loss for the Titans. The offense couldn't do much after the first quarter because the OL couldn't block with any consistency.

Will Levis injured after sack

Will Levis is sacked on third down and gets all twisted up. He's in a lot of pain, but he eventually walks off under his own power.

The Titans have to punt the ball away. The offensive line has been a major, major issue in the second half and OT.

Titans pass rush wrecks Texans drive

Sacks by Marlon Davidson and Denico Autry bookend a TFL by Azeez Al-Shaair. Texans punt, and Tennessee gets the ball at the Tennessee 37-yard line.

Titans OL breaks down on first drive of OT

Titans get a first down, but nothing else. After a Chris Moore first down catch, Derrick Henry loses yardage and Will Levis is sacked.

Titans punt the ball away. A FG wins it for either team.

OVERTIME: Titans 16, Texans 16

The Titans are going to OT for the third time this season. Davis Mills, in for a Hali Mary attempt for Houston, never gets a pass attempt off.

The Titans win the OT coin toss and will receive.

Titans go three-and-out, punt it back

The 2-minute offenses are struggling. Will Levis is sacked on second down, leading the Texans to call a couple timeouts to get the ball back.

Ty Zentner's punt is returned to the Houston 30-yard line. Texans have one timeout.

Texans punt it back with 45 seconds left

The Titans allow a Devin Singletary first down run but nothing else. Mason Kinsey is slung down after getting out of bounds, but no flag. There should have been.

Tennessee has the football on their own 29-yard line. Can Will Levis do it again?

Titans punt the ball away with 1:50 left

The Texans get the ball at the Houston 21-yard line after a Ty Zentner punt. The Titans offense can only muster one first down before punting the ball away. Levis' third down pass was intended for DeAndre Hopkins.

Titans 16, Texans 16, 3:03 left 4Q: Texans tie the game on Case Keenum TD pas

The Texans go 79 yards in 10 plays, including an excellent effort by Dalton Schultz to wrestle a possible interception away from Roger McCreary to create 1st and goal.

Three plays later, Case Keenum throws a 3-yard touchdown pass to Noah Brown. PAT good.

Tied up in Nashville. Titans have 52 total yards since the first two drives.

Titans 16, Texans 9, 7:27 left 4Q: Titans settle for field goal

Tennessee drives into the red zone, but Will Levis is stripped and fumbles. Titans are fortunate, because the ball goes out of bounds. It's a loss of 19 yards, and Tennessee has to settle for a 45-yard field goal by Nick Folk.

Tennessee's offense was close to putting this away. But it's still a one-score game.

Titans 13, Texans 9, 2:42 left 3Q: Houston adds another field goal

The Texans get into position for a 53-yard field goal, and Fairbairn's kick is good. Houston needed just 11 yards on that drive to get into range.

Titans offense needs a scoring drive.

Titans offense goes 3-and-out following DeAndre Hopkins catch overturned

On second down, Will Levis appears to complete a pass to DeAndre Hopkins on a chunk play into Houston territory.

But Hopkins lost control of the ball when he hit the ground, and Houston challenges the catch. After review, incomplete.

Titans eventually go 3-and-out, and Houston gets the ball in Tennessee territory.

Titans 13, Texans 6, 6:27 left 3Q: Texans turn INT into field goal

Titans defense holds again in the red zone. Case Keenum's third down pass was deflected and incomplete.

Ka'imi Fairbairn is good from 27 yards out. Titans lead is 13-6.

Titans offense needs to get run game going. Will Levis (16 rushing yards) is the leading rusher today.

Steven Nelson intercepts Will Levis on opening drive of second half

Will Levis throws a ball high, intended for DeAndre Hopkins, and it's intercepted by Steven Nelson.

Treylon Burks looked open on the play, but Levis tried to get it to Hopkins.

HALFTIME: Titans 13, Texans 3: Texans on the board with late FG

Texans take their time in the red zone and only settle for a field goal after Devin Singletary is stopped on 3rd and 1 from the Tennessee 5-yard line.

Ka'imi Fairbairn is good from 23 yards out. Tennessee is up 10 at halftime and will receive the second half kickoff.

Titans defense continues to shut down Texans offense

Houston has had four offensive possessions. The Texans have three first downs and three punts, as well as the pick-six to Elijah Molden.

On the Texans' most recent drive, Harold Landry hurried Case Keenum into an intentional grounding that all but ended the Houston drive.

Titans 13, Texans 0, 13:56 left 2Q: Elijah Molden pick-6

The Houston Texans elected to start Case Keenum over Davis Mills on Sunday despite Mills serving as the No. 2 QB throughout the season behind C.J. Stroud.

The Texans offense looks disjointed to start, and the Titans defense cashes in. Keenum throws a timing route where there is no Texans receiver, and Elijah Molden intercepts the pass and returns it 45 yards for a touchdown. That play followed a Laremy Tunsil false start.

Plenty of time remaining, but it sure looks like a mistake by first-year coach DeMeco Ryans.

The Titans lead 13-0, and the vibes are good inside Nissan Stadium.

Mason Kinsey is Titans' punt returner

Mason Kinsey gets another shot in being the Titans' punt returner. Two punts, two clean catches for Kinsey in the first quarter.

Titans 6, Texans 0, 7:09 left 1Q: Will Levis opens up offense on opening drive

Will Levis orchestrates an ideal opening drive, including a 37-yard completion to Treylon Burks and a 33-yard catch by Nick Westbrook-Ikhine to set up 1st and goal. Levis sneaks in for the touchdown two plays later, a 1-yard TD run.

Several key plays in the drive, including a Derrick Henry 4th and short conversion on a carry at the Titans' 27-yard line.

PAT no good. Titans lead is 6-0.

Case Keenum starting at QB for Houston Texans

Case Keenum makes his first start since 2021 on Sunday. Texans get the ball first and go 3-and-out.

Good crowd at Nissan Stadium, given the Titans' 5-8 record. Monday's win surely helped in that regard.
