Tennessee Titans score updates vs. Pittsburgh Steelers on 'Thursday Night Football'

The Tennessee Titans will try to score their second-straight win to begin rookie quarterback Will Levis' tenure as a starter when they visit the Pittsburgh Steelers for" "Thursday Night Football."

The Titans (3-4) face the Steelers (4-3) at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on Thursday (7:15 p.m., Amazon Prime Video). Thursday will mark the second start of Levis' career as he looks to build on his 238-yard, four-touchdown performance in a win Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. Lining up across from him will be a fearsome Steelers pass rush led by the likes of edge rusher T.J. Watt and veteran Cameron Heyward, who is expected to play after spending the last six games on injured reserve.

This will be the Titans' first appearance in primetime this season. The Titans' last night game was in Week 18 of last season when they lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 20-16. That said, the Titans have won two of their last three Thursday Night Football games, including last season's 27-17 win over the Green Bay Packers.

Follow along with live updates of the Titans' game against the Steelers below.

Tennessee Titans score updates vs. Pittsburgh Steelers on 'TNF'

Fourth quarter

FINAL: Steelers 20, Titans 16

6 seconds left: Levis tries to thread the needle to Josh Whyle and is picked off by Kwon Alexander in the end zone. Titans offense had to press, and Levis' first INT comes on his final throw of his second drive.

Titans will fall to 3-5. There will be questions about the conservative play calling when the Titans had the ball near midfield a drive earlier, plus a run defense that has regressed. Steelers up to 5-3, somehow.

16 seconds left: Levis to Okonkwo for 12 yards. Ball inside the Pittsburgh 30.

26 seconds left: After Joey Porter Jr. was called for another drive-extending penalty tonight, Levis finds Chris Moore for 29 yards.

That Porter penalty came on a 4th down incomplete pass.

1:50 left: Titans defense gets the 3-and-out. Titans offense will start at their own 15 after the punt.

Amazon Prime broadcast reports Burks has movement in all extremities. Good news.

Titans turn ball over on downs after conservative drive; Treylon Burks carted off on stretcher with injury

2:55 left: An end-around, a Henry carry for a yard and a Spears carry for a yard sets up 4th down. Titans going for it.

Levis takes a downfield shot to Burks on 4th-and-4, and Burks can't haul it in. Ball was right on the money.

4th down call aside, Titans don't show much faith in the rookie QB. And with the way the Steelers are running the ball, Titans might not see the ball again.

Burks stays down. Looks like he hit his head on the turf when falling to the ground. Cart and stabilizing board out.

3:56 left: Titans start on their own 48-yard line after a Steelers personal foul on the PAT and a nice kick return by Tyjae Spears.

Steelers drive 92 yards to score TD, take the lead

4:02 left: Diontae Johnson scores on a TD catch from 3 yards out, his first TD since 2021. Titans defense gives up a 92-yard drive on 11 plays in 5:11. PAT good.

Steelers 20, Titans 16

Can Will Levis orchestrate a game-winning drive? We'll see.

4:52 left: Jaylen Warren cuts to the right and nearly wins the race to the pylon. Still, a 22-yard carry for Warren and 1st-and-goal from the Titans' 1.

Looked like a clear hold missed on the end of the LOS, but Titans can't control that. Steelers up to 165 rushing yards on 26 carries.

4:59 left: Pickett to Diontae Johnson for 32 yards on third down, with Tre Avery on 1-on-1 coverage.

6:21 left: Jaylen Warren picks up 13 yards on the 3rd-and-1 end around. It feels like the Titans are a stop away, or two. Not yet on this drive.

9:21 left: Levis tries to find Spears on third down but cannot. Steelers pass rush was getting after it there. Ryan Stonehouse pins the Steelers back at their own 8-yard line. Nice drive for the Titans to flip the field, at minimum.

12:19 left: The playing of 'Renegade' gets the Steelers fans all charged up, and on the next play Levis finds Treylon Burks for 21 yards. That may be the best play for the Titans' 2022 first round pick since he returned from injury.

12:38 left: Pickett's third-down pass is thrown closest to a disgusted Steelers assistant coach on the sidelines. Steelers will punt.

Kenny Pickett so far tonight is 16-of-26 for 119 yards. Levis has been quite a bit better than his QB counterpart for a second straight game.

Titans will start on their own 8-yard line.

Third quarter

Titans retake lead on Nick Folk FG

19 seconds left: Nick Folk's 48-yard field goal is good. A 3rd-and-long screen pass to Tyjae Spears goes for a loss. But a nice response.

Titans 16, Steelers 13

3:30 left: Levis just gets off a screen pass to Henry before getting crushed by Highsmith, and Henry rumbles for 23 yards inside the Steelers' 30-yard line.

Henry has 64 rushing and 27 receiving yards today.

4:52 left: A defensive holding penalty extends the Titans drive after a third-down throwaway by Levis.

Steelers miss out on touchdown, settle for game-tying field goal.

5:44 left: Pickett to George Pickens appears to be a touchdown, but Pickens steps out of bounds with his second foot. Incomplete pass on third down.

Chris Boswell's 30-yard field goal attempt is good. Titans 13, Steelers 13

6:24 left: Steelers using YAC and the short passing game to drive into the red zone.

9:45 left: Elijah Molden called for illegal contact on 3rd and long. Minimal contact. Steelers first down.

13:10 left: Najee Harris runs for 25 yards, picking the opposite hole from the one Harris ran through. Not the first time that has happened tonight.

14:18 left: Levis' third-down pass targets Hopkins, but Patrick Peterson bats the ball away. Titans start the second half with a 3-and-out.

Second quarter

HALFTIME: Titans 13, Steelers 10

Nick Folk is good from 36 yards out. Levis missed Tyjae Spears out of the backfield, and Spears may have stopped his route a step too soon. At worst, would have been 1st-and-goal from inside the Steelers 5.

35 seconds left: Levis to Philips for 21 yards. Titans (former) scout-team connection in prime time?

42 seconds left: Levis to Kyle Philips for 24 yards. Titans into Steelers territory.

48 seconds left: Titans offense comes out throwing with 79 seconds left, and Hopkins has a first down. He has four catches for 60 yards.

Titans defense holds Steelers to field goal late in first half

1:19 left: Chris Boswell is good from 29 yards out. Kenny Pickett one-hopped a throw to Allen Robinson on a possible touchdown on 3rd-and-goal that fell incomplete.

Titans 10, Steelers 10

Pickett is 8-of-15 for 78 yards.

2:00 left: Steelers have 2nd-and-goal from the Tennessee 8 after the two-minute warning. Titans defense has allowed 64 rushing yards on 10 carries in the first half.

3:48 left: Jeffery Simmons is reminded that you cannot tackle QBs like regular players. He's called for a roughing the passer penalty for a routine tackle on Pickett as the latter throws the ball away. Steelers driving.

Derrick Henry TD run caps impressive drive for Titans offense

6:35 left: On 3rd-and-goal, Derrick Henry bounces off a tackler and stretches for the 2-yard touchdown. Very nice drive by the Titans offense.

11 plays, 73 yards in 6:26. PAT good.

Titans 10, Steelers 7

8:40 left: Derrick Henry bursts for 15 yards over the right side. First big hole of the night for him.

11:09 left: What a play by Levis, standing in and finding Nick Westbrook-Ikhine for 23 yards on 3rd-and-13. Peter Skoronski is down injured now. He and Daniel Brunskill are now on the sidelines.

13:14 left: Pickett underthrows an open Calvin Austin on a third-down deep ball, and Azeez Al-Shaair deflects the pass away in coverage. Another 3-and-out.

14:54 left: Levis sacked by Highsmith. Dillard missed Highsmith on a cut block.

Next play, Levis overthrows Hopkins on a deep ball. Titans will punt.

First quarter

End of the quarter: Levis completes to Kyle Philips while Levis is being leveled by Alex Highsmith. Andre Dillard is getting beat badly.

46 seconds left: Levis to DeAndre Hopkins for 29 yards on 1st-and-23. Steelers linebacker Cole Holcomb injured and carted off.

1:48 left: Petit-Frere injures his shoulder after missing a block and holding TJ Watt on first down. Dillon Radunz is in at right tackle.

2:03 left: Kenny Pickett fires high on 3rd-and-8. Three-and-out, and Steelers will punt.

Titans offense manages field goal after first drive aided by Steelers penalties

2:48 left: Nick Folk's line-drive 36-yard field goal is good. Titans again settling for field goals on the road.

Steelers 7, Titans 3

3:03 left: Nicholas Petit-Frere rips TJ Watt's helmet off, and Watt sacks Levis anyway. The Titans OTs are struggling and getting no chip help.

4:18 left: Joey Porter Jr. flagged for two penalties on one third down play, a neutral zone infraction and illegal hands to the face. Alex Highsmith had sacked Levis untouched on the play.

6:02 left: Joey Porter Jr. flagged for a facemask on Spears, and the Titans are at the Pittsburgh 22-yard line.

6:50 left: 4th-and-1 at midfield, and Derrick Henry gains the corner in the wildcat for a first down. Keanu Neal spared being put on Henry's stiffarm highlight reel.

9:24 left: TJ Watt roughing the passer penalty helps the Titans field position wise, and it is an automatic first down.

10:05 left: Tyjae Spears opts to return the kickoff, and a personal foul penalty will push Levis and the Titans offense back to start.

Najee Harris TD run powers Steelers opening drive

10:11 left: Najee Harris powers through the middle for a 10-yard touchdown. Titans defensive line was beaten badly on that play and never hit Pickett on the drive. 78-yard opening drive for Pittsburgh.

Steelers 7, Titans 0

10:54 left: Pickett to Diontae Johnson for a chunk play. First and goal, Steelers.

12:08 left: Pickett to Connor Heyward for a first down after a Denico Autry offsides penalty. Steelers already above their first quarter yardage average for the season.

14:04 left: Pickett to Allen Robinson on third and long to move the chains. Titans pass rush didn't get home.

15:00 left: Steelers win the toss and will receive. Kenny Pickett and the Steelers offense first up.

"I’m going Titans bro!" James tweeted on Thursday. "I think Will Levis keeps it going. No Mincah hurts Pitts!"
