Tennessee baseball is taking its Orange and White Fall World Series on the road

Tennessee baseball's annual intrasquad Orange and White Fall World Series will be a road show this year.

Because of ongoing construction at Lindsey Nelson Stadium, the Volunteers' home field is unavailable to host the three-game series. Instead, coach Tony Vitello will be taking his team to a pair of minor league stadiums next week.

On Thursday, the Vols will be split into two teams and play Game 1 of the Orange and White Fall World Series in Kodak at Smokies Stadium, home of the Tennessee Smokies. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m., and fans are welcomed to arrive as early as 4:30 p.m. with the purchase of a $9 general admission ticket at the ballpark or online.

The series then will move to Chattanooga for two games at AT&T Field, home of the Chattanooga Lookouts. The first is scheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, and the series concludes with a 12 p.m. game Saturday.

Spectators are allowed in an hour before first pitch. General admission tickets are $10 and will go on sale on Monday at 10 a.m.
