Teen arrested in connection with Ohio shooting that killed 4-year-old

A 17-year-old was arrested Wednesday in connection with a horrifying September shooting in Struthers, Ohio, that left a 4-year-old boy dead.

The teen was apprehended by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force as he attempted to skedaddle from a home in Youngstown, according to the Associated Press. He is the second person to be arrested in connection with the shooting and his name was not immediately released.

Kimonie Bryant, a 24-year-old from Struthers, has pleaded not guilty to aggravated murder, according to the AP.

Struthers Police Chief Tim Roddy said Rowan Sweeney died in his mother’s arms in the shooting, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported in September. Gunfire erupted in the small hours of the morning of Sept. 21, according to the newspaper.

Four adults also were wounded in the shooting.
