Team USA Artistic Swimmers Show Off Their Dance Moves Out of Water as They Take on Charlie xcx 'Apple' Trend
The silver medalists are some of the latest to do a version of the viral dance that's been taking social media by storm
The U.S. artistic swimming team is showing off their moves outside the water!
On Thursday, Aug. 8, the 2024 Paris Olympics silver medalists took on the viral Charli xcx "Apple" dance trend, nailing the routine in a TikTok clip shared by Access Hollywood.
Team members Anita Alvarez, Jaime Czarkowski, Megumi Field, Keana Hunter, Audrey Kwon, Jacklyn Luu, Daniella Ramirez, and Ruby Remati proved they can be synchronized outside of the water as well in, getting every move right while wearing their matching Nike Team USA outfits and sneakers.

"They can moonwalk AND they can apple 🍏 Brat summer with the @USA Artistic Swimming OLYMPIC MEDALLISTS 💋 #Paris2024," the outlet captioned the post, referencing Charli xcx's devoted "Angels" fanbase declaring 2024 a Brat summer after the release of the singer's album in June.
The team, who donned their medals in the clip, have been celebrating this week after winning the first Olympic artistic swimming medal for the U.S. in 20 years on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
"It was magic," coach Andrea Fuentes told Olympics.com while talking about the team's performance, adding, "It has been a dream of a system that we have created."

Meanwhile, everyone from Glen Powell to Brooke Shields has been taking part in the viral "Apple" dance trend created by TikTok user Kelley Heyer in June.
Even the Team USA women's rugby team, donning their bronze medals, gave the trend their best shot in a clip shared on Instagram by Hoda Kotb on July 30.
The Todayshow commented on the post, "ur bronze medalists are having a brat summer! 💚 [sic]"

While discussing what it means to be a "brat," Charli previously said in a video shared on TikTok on July 1, "You're just like that girl who is a little messy and likes to party and maybe says some dumb things sometimes. Who feels herself but then also maybe has a breakdown. But kind of like parties through it, is very honest, very blunt. A little bit volatile. Like does dumb things. But it's brat. You're brat. That's brat."
