Taylor Swift's Ex Calvin Harris' House Catches on Fire

A home belonging to one of Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriends, DJ Calvin Harris, caught fire on Wednesday, Feb. 7, but was quickly extinguished, according to local media reports.

The three-story home is located in Southern California’s Beverly Crest neighborhood, which is north of Beverly Hills and west of West Hollywood.

Video captured Wednesday night by the Los Angeles-based TV news station KTTV showed the home from above as the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded. Firefighters could be seen walking on the structure’s roof and the ground beneath what appeared to be an overhang as they shone flashlights around the property.

Both KTTV and TMZ have identified the house along West Oak Pass Road as belonging to the “Feel So Close” musician, who wasn’t home at the time of the blaze.

A call alerting the LAFD to the fire came in around 8:25 p.m., according to Brian Humphrey, a public information officer with the department. Firefighters responded to find the fire burning in a recessed wall area. It took firefighters less than an hour to extinguish the blaze, Humphrey told Parade.

Details regarding how the fire started are under investigation, according to an LAFD news release, though Humphrey said the cause “appears to be electrical.” No injuries were reported in connection with the incident. However, the LAFD estimates that the fire caused an estimated $100,000 in damages.

Though Harris, 40, was reportedly not home at the time of the fire, he was in Los Angeles a few days ago to attend the 2024 Grammy Awards on Feb. 4. Harris was nominated with singer Ellie Goulding in the Best Pop Dance Recording category for “Miracle,” the song they released together last year. Harris has been nominated for six Grammys over the years and won his first at the 55th Grammy Awards in 2013.

Though Harris didn’t win last weekend, he generated buzz with his reaction to seeing Swift enter the awards ceremony. The two dated between 2015 and 2016 and haven’t been seen sharing space at a public event for years. As Swift entered the Crypto.com Arena a few minutes after the ceremony started, fans could see Harris begin to clap for her as she passed right behind where he was seated.
