Taylor Swift just might be having the best year of her life. She’s on a massively popular world tour, just won two Grammys, and just debuted her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department.

"The Tortured Poets Department. An anthology of new works that reflect events, opinions and sentiments from a fleeting and fatalistic moment in time—one that was both sensational and sorrowful in equal measure," Taylor wrote in an IG caption about the album. "This period of the author’s life is now over, the chapter closed and boarded up. There is nothing to avenge, no scores to settle once wounds have healed. And upon further reflection, a good number of them turned out to be self-inflicted. This writer is of the firm belief that our tears become holy in the form of ink on a page. Once we have spoken our saddest story, we can be free of it. And then all that’s left behind is the tortured poetry."

Clearly, Tay has a lot going on right now, and she's shared a few tidbits this year about her health and wellness routines that keep her on track and feeling her best. While the star rarely talks about her diet, that hasn't stopped people from wondering what fuels such a sparkly superhero, especially on game days with boyfriend Travis Kelce and three-hour shows on the Eras Tour.

So, what does Taylor Swift like to eat? Here’s everything she’s said (and suggested) about some of her favorite foods over the past few years.

Taylor loves going out to dinner with friends.

When she’s not selling out stadiums across the world, Taylor regularly dines out with friends. She’s been spotted at a slew of New York City restaurants over the past few months, including Nobu 57, Koi New York, BondSt, Via Carota, Il Buco Alimentari and Vineria, and La Lanterna di Vittorio, according to Eater New York.

While Taylor seems to be into a range of different foods, Italian and Asian cuisines have been common themes.

She takes a balanced approach to eating.

Taylor hasn't shared much about her diet in years. However, she told WebMD in 2010 that she tries to keep it "lighter," but doesn't deprive herself.

“During the week, I try to eat healthily, so that means salads, yoghurt, and sandwiches,” she said. "I’m never cutting out what I love. I try to keep it lighter, but it’s nothing too regimented or crazy. We know what's good for us, thanks to common sense."

She's super into baking.

Taylor has regularly spoken about her passion for baking, and fans know that she makes notoriously delicious pastries and baked goods.

Case in point: She recently made cinnamon rolls for her BF Travis Kelce before one of his games in October.

“Taylor is so nice,” Travis’ friend, Bernie Kosar, previously said on the Tobin and Leroy Show on 560 WQAM. “She comes in by herself and she’s so cool. She made her homemade cinnamon rolls for Travis for pregame meal.”

Back in 2020, Tay shared a photo of some delectable-looking cinnamon buns she'd been working on.

Taylor also brought homemade pumpkin loaf to her Time "Person of the Year" shoot this year, according to photographers Inez & Vinoodh. "Arrives in the studio with home baked pumpkin loaf- love you Taylor! Kisses," they wrote on Instagram.

This is a long-standing practice of Tay's: Back in 2012, she told Bon Appétit that she loves to bake pumpkin bread and ginger molasses cookies.

She likes cooking for friends.

Taylor’s cowriter, Aaron Dessner, told People that the star actually loves to cook.

“I've spent a lot of time with her and I've never seen anyone wait on her,” he said. “When I have stayed at her house, Taylor herself was cooking everyone breakfast and dinner. She's legitimately just a very down-to-earth and hardworking person.”

Coffee is her favorite beverage.

Taylor revealed this little tidbit in a Vogue interview seven years ago. And while this was quite a while ago, it seems like the caffeinated bev still holds a top spot in her heart because in 2021, she teamed up with Starbucks to put her favorite drink—a Grande Caramel Nonfat Latte—on the menu, according to Food & Wine.

But Taylor also makes sure to hydrate all day, everyday. “I have so much water in my dressing room because I drink, like, ten bottles of water a day,” she told Bon Appétit. “I drink so much water my friends call me an alien.”

She cut out alcohol during her tour.

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows are no joke—they’re usually three hours long and involve a ton of choreography and singing. To get her body prepared all that performing, Taylor told Time that she gave up drinking, with the exception of a “hilarious” night at the 2023 Grammy awards. “Doing that show with a hangover…I don't want to know that world,” she said.

Taylor appeared to be enjoying a cocktail (an especially frothy espresso martini perhaps?) at her birthday party this year, so it looks like she still dabbles now and then with an alcoholic beverage.

Her comfort food is cheeseburgers, fries, and a chocolate shake.

Tay also shared this with Vogue, noting that this would be her go-to order at a drive-through. For longtime fans, this isn't a surprise: She told WebMD in 2010 that her comfort foods are a burger and fries, ice cream, and homemade cookies.

The star also notably opted to wear a french fry costume during her music video shoot for her song, "You Need To Calm Down."

"A happy meal 🍔 🍟 💗," she captioned the photos, where she's posing with Katy Perry (who is decked out as a burger).

Taylor had a Milk Bar birthday cake this year.

Milk Bar is a cult favorite among pastry fans, and apparently Taylor digs the brand’s foods, too. She even featured her cake (with the words "Birthday Girl of the Year" written on it) in two photos from her birthday Instagram post. "Can’t believe this year… actually… happened? Thank you for all your beautiful birthday wishes yesterday. 🥲," she captioned the post.

The sweet tooth was clearly inherited because her dad was also seen sharing her cake with people in the box next door to her at a Chief’s game this year in a sweet TikTok video.

She may or may not like ranch.

People collectively cracked up after a Taylor fan account shared a picture on X (formerly Twitter) of Tay at one of Travis’ games, noting in the caption that she was enjoying “a piece of chicken with ketchup and seemingly ranch.”

The comment spurred a ton of reactions and even Halloween costumes. Worth noting: Taylor hasn’t yet cleared up whether she is, in fact, into ranch.

The menu for her Super Bowl box was pretty high-end.

Taylor watched her boyfriend Travis play in the Super Bowl from a pretty fancy suite (like, it costs a hefty $2.5 million) with an even fancier menu. The delicacies available included: a shrimp cocktail tower, king crab fried rice, wagyu tenderloin, lobster and steak quesadillas, and buttermilk fried chicken and waffles with maple syrup, per Delish.

The dessert menu was just as tasty, featuring frozen cheesecake and a "Hot Dog Macaron" made from chocolate-covered banana, chocolate macaron, vanilla ganache, and strawberry sauce. There were also a few specialty cocktails with fitting names like The Rumming Back (Captain Morgan, elderflower liqueur, golden passion mix, and a chilled ginger beer), Sin City Sour (Marie Brizard apricot liqueur, fresh lemon sour, and ginger beer), and the First and Tequlia (Casamigos Blanco, Cointreau, lime juice, and fresh lemon sour), according to the pub.

Popcorn, bacon-wrapped hot dogs, BBQ burnt-end burritos, carne asada fries, surf and turf nachos, a wagyu loaded hot dog that's piled with crispy onions, banana peppers, and wagyu brisket burnt ends were also listed on the menu, Delish said.
