Taylor Swift Makes a Bold Declaration About Fan's Viral Dance Interpretation of New Song

Since Taylor Swift released her 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, on April 19, Swifties have created videos inspired by the new tracks. And recently, the pop superstar made a bold declaration about a fan's viral dance interpretation of "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived."

Last week, a TikTok user named Giacomo Benavides posted a video of himself dramatically performing the diss track thought to be about Swift's ex, Matty Healy. He wore a 1989 blue cardigan and headphones while lip-syncing to the song's bridge.

As Swift sang, "Were you sent by someone who wanted me dead?" played, Benavides collapsed on the sidewalk before rising back to his feet and limping. He then grabbed a Nerf gun from under a parked car while the song continued, "Did you sleep with a gun underneath our bed?"

Next, Benavides dramatically flipped through a book before angrily throwing it on the ground as he lip-synced, "Were you writing a book? Were you a sleeper cell spy?" Two men suddenly grabbed him and dragged him to a police car as he continued singing, "In 50 years, will all this be declassified?"

A glance at the TikTok comments revealed Swift herself caught wind of the clip. "This is the official music video 🏆," the 34-year-old boldly declared.

Swifties noticed Swift's reaction, with one fan exclaiming, "MOTHER?!???!? SCREAMING CRYING THROWING UPPPPPPP😭😭😭." Another commented, "You’ve peaked! Nothing can top this!!!!!"

Meanwhile, others lauded Benavides for his masterful performance. One person wrote, "Incredible. The cardigan, the running mascara, the kidnapping. This is a masterpiece."

Another TikTok user shared, "No because it just kept getting more unhinged 😂," while another echoed, "LMAO the ending but this is so real 😭💔."

As of writing, Benavides' viral video has attracted more than 6.7 million views and over 1.1 million likes.
