Taylor Swift Fans React to Her Subtle Support for Travis Kelce's New Kansas City Chiefs Teammate

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are known for publicly supporting each other. During the past NFL season, the pop superstar attended 13 Kansas City Chiefs games to cheer on her tight end beau. Likewise, Kelce showed up at multiple Eras Tour shows to hype up the "Fortnight" singer.

Most recently, Swift subtly supported Kelce's new Chiefs teammate, Xavier Worthy.

Worthy, a 20-year-old wide receiver from the University of Texas at Austin, officially joined the team on Thursday, April 25. The Chiefs selected him as the 28th overall pick during the 2024 NFL Draft—and the team shared a video via Instagram of Worthy's reaction.

"The moment @worthyyy became a Kansas City Chief 💛," the Chiefs captioned the clip, which showed Worthy, his family and friends erupting into cheers when his name was announced.

It didn't take long for Instagram users to notice that Swift liked the post.

In the comments, fans reacted to Swift's subtle message of approval for Kelce's new teammate. One Instagram user wrote, "Travis made Taylor watch the draft with him and now she liked this post 😂 Life is crazy."

Another fan commented, "Not Taylor liking this omg she’s locked in 😭😭😭," while someone else declared, "TAYLOR WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE."

Meanwhile, someone else joked, "Taylor herself like the post many tayblessings to come for Worthy 😂."

Yet another Instagram user referenced one of Swift's songs from her new album, The Tortured Poets Department, pointing out, "This pick already has Taylor Swift’s approval… So are we going to nickname him the bolter?"

That nickname makes sense, considering Worthy broke the 40-yard-dash record at the 2024 NFL Combine with a time of 4.21 seconds.

Congrats to Worthy for his new status as a player for the Kansas City Chiefs. With Swift's stamp of approval, his NFL career is off to a great start.
