Taylor Swift Baked Pre-Game Cinnamon Rolls for Travis Kelce and His Friends

Taylor Swift the baker. Are you ready for it?

Former NFL veteran Bernie Kosar wasn't, but he said he had no choice but to put aside his vegan diet for a taste of her handmade cinnamon rolls. And they did not disappoint!

The University of Miami legend and former Pro Bowl quarterback told the tale Tuesday on Audacy's AM 560 Sports WQAM and shared the chance encounter at not only meeting the Midnights singer while at Travis Kelce's house before a big game in October but also melting over her slaying skills in the kitchen.

"I was at [Kelce's] house three hours before the game, we're having a pre-game meal, and Taylor is so nice, she comes in by herself, and she's so cool," Kosar explained. "She made her homemade cinnamon rolls for Travis for a pre-game meal. I'm a juicer right now, trying to be vegan and gluten-free, but I absolutely had to sample some of that cinnamon roll on game day."

Swift's proud of her baking game. In fact, in May 2020 she took to social media to share a snap of the buns.

Kosar also couldn't leave without snapping a picture with Swift, and she happily obliged.

And before telling that story, Kosar just couldn't help but praise Swift for being so down-to-earth.

"You couldn't have a better role model for young parents, young kids looking up at her," he said. "Her genuine attention to people and paying attention and consideration was just spectacular to watch."

As far as his connection to the Kelces? That's easy. Kosar, who led the University of Miami to its first-ever national championship in 1983 and won a Super Bowl ring as a backup with the Dallas Cowboys, is someone the Kelces admired during his time with the Cleveland Browns. Kosar is from Cleveland Heights, the same town the Kelces hail from. When they were kids, Travis and Jason Kelce -- the standout center with the Philadelphia Eagles -- would dress up as Kosar for Halloween.

By the way, the pre-game meal Kosar attended at Kelce's house when he got a taste for Swift's cinnamon rolls came on Oct. 22, ahead of the Chiefs playing host to the Los Angeles Chargers. She's attended numerous games ever since, most recently at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, where the Chiefs secured their ninth win of the season.

At that game, Swift was joined by her father, Scott. The game also marked Scott's first Chiefs game. A couple of Swift's BFFs, Alana Haim and Ashley Avignone, also tagged along. Also sitting with the singer was Brittany Mahomes, who was there to cheer on her husband, quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

"Football is awesome, it turns out," Swift recently joked in an interview for Time's Person of the Year issue. "I've been missing out my whole life."

Kosar can relate with those cinnamon rolls, too.
