Yellowstone may be over as we know it it, but Land Man is waiting just around the corner. Starring Billy Bob Thornton, Jon Hamm, and Demi Moore, the latest drama from Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan will reportedly follow the world of oil rigs in West Texas. Though the series has been in development for quite some time, fans of Sheridan's work were most likely well aware that his impressive clip of releases would deliver Land Man to viewers in no time.

Based on the podcast Boomtown, the series will reportedly follow, "an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.” Billy Boy Thornton, who previously portrayed gunslingerJim Courtright in 1883, will serve as the titular "Land Man." He's set to play a character named Tommy Norris, who works as a crisis manager for the oil company.

Who Else Will Star in Land Man?

Demi Moore (Feud: Capote vs. The Swans), will play the “wife to one of the most powerful oil men in Texas," according to Variety. Jon Hamm (Fargo) is also set to join as Monty Miller, a "titan of the Texas oil industry who has a long personal and professional relationship with Tommy Norris." Additional cast members include James Jordan (Yellowstone), Michelle Randolph (1923), Ali Larter (The Rookie), Jacob Lofland (Joker: Folie à Deux), Mark Collie (Nashville), Paulina Chávez (The Long Game), and Kayla Wallace (When Calls the Heart).

"Demi Moore is an iconic and extraordinary talent," said Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios. "We are thrilled to have her join Billy Bob Thornton and the star-studded cast of Landman, our next epic series from Taylor Sheridan."

When Can I Watch Land Man?

Though the series doesn't have an official release date yet, I bet Sheridan isn't going to keep this one from his fans for long. At the same time, he's also working on the rumored Matthew McConaughey Yellowstone sequel, the much-anticipated Yellowstone season 5 finale, the second season of Tulsa King, Special Ops: Lioness, 1923, and Mayor of Kingstown season 3. With casting announcements ramping up, we're somehow still likely to see Land Man premiere by the end of year.
