Taylor Sheridan Directs His First Branded TV Commercial—Narrated by Sam Elliott

Taylor Sheridan Fritos ad

There truly is no stopping Taylor Sheridan. The creator of Yellowstone has his hands full with his involvement in the nearly a dozen shows he's created or is developing for Paramount+. He's instrumental in production whether it's acting, producing, writing or directing or perhaps all four as he's done in the past.

As if he wasn't busy enough, the Texas native has found time to head behind the camera to direct his first TV commercial. The new Western-inspired Fritos ad is set at the famous 6666 Ranch and definitely appeals to Yellowstone fans.

Although we never see his face, 1883 star Sam Elliott narrates the new ad with his signature baritone voice. The SAG Award-winning actor tells the history of Fritos and its connection to cowboys and the Western spirit.

The heartwarming ad was filmed at the famous Four Sixes Ranch, the 266,000-acre Texas spread that's where many scenes from Yellowstone, 1923, and 1883 have been filmed.

In 2020, Sheridan, with a group of investors, bought the Four Sixes Ranch, presumably to continue filming the long list of Paramount series. The ranch was listed for $341 million, but the final sale price was $192.2 million.
