Tarrant County officials encourage early voting Thursday, before storms hit Friday

The Tarrant County Elections Administration is encouraging residents to early vote on Thursday, before storms arrive Friday.

Friday is the last day to early vote for the Nov. 8 midterm elections. Tarrant County has over a dozen early voting locations across Fort Worth, Arlington and Hurst. Find your closet polling place here.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for severe thunderstorms over Fort Worth on Friday with possible rainfall amounts of between a half and three quarters of an inch. There is a 90% chance of rain and wind gusts as strong as 30 mph.

Thursday night will be mostly cloudy with a 20% chance of showers. The NWS is predicting storms will hit Fort Worth beginning around 1 p.m. on Friday, continuing into the night.

By Saturday the severe weather will be gone and temperatures will be near 70 degrees and sunny. The rest of the weekend will be sunny and in the mid-70 degrees.
