JRPG fans are getting served well in 2024 with back-to-back releases, and they can add another well-known game to that list. Bandai Namco’s Tales of Arise, the eighteenth entry in the series, will be coming to both PlayStation and Xbox consoles' subscription services later this month.

Tales of Arise is the latest addition to the PS Plus catalog for subscribers of the “Extra” and “Premium/Deluxe” tiers. The game will be added to the service on February 20, along with other titles like NFS Unbound, The Outer Worlds, LEGO Worlds and more. Owners of PS4 and PS5 consoles will then be able to download and play the game as long as they’re subscribed to the service.

Xbox owners are also getting a nice but expected surprise with the game joining Xbox Game Pass. The news comes after Xbox accidentally leaked the news itself when the game appeared on its Xbox Game Pass February games list earlier this month. Game Pass subscribers will be able to play the game on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC.

Tales of Arise follows two heroes, Alphen and Shionne, on the opposite ends of a war between two worlds. The game features a new story with the same charm and storytelling prowess that has defined the Tales series. Its combat is faster-paced than prior entries, which is good news for fans of action games.

It’s also a long game with a story that will take you around 40-50 hours to complete. After finishing it, you can continue the story with the Beyond The Dawn expansion. With Bandai Namco dropping Tales of Arise on both consoles’ subscription services, one has to wonder whether an announcement of the next Tales game is imminent.
