Taking the stress out of party planning. Brockton decorators launch event design company

BROCKTON—In Hispanic culture, family "parties are everything." From extravagant decor to celebrating little victories, it's always been a way of life, and two local designers are teaming up to make sure everyone's party dreams come true.

Imagine having a party, and all you must do is pay and show up? Doesn't that sound nice? This could be your reality if you book with Jociah Party Décor and Vivid Balloonss.

Cynthia Viruet and Viviana Herrero embarked on a mutually beneficial relationship to unite the South Shore, one beautiful party at a time.

For them and their heritage, family is the building blocks of happiness and bringing people closer.

"We work together as a collaborative effort. I customize the backdrops and soft play while Viviana sets up the balloons and other decorations. If you need your party fully planned out, we also offer those services. In the Hispanic culture, parties and gatherings are major," Viruet said.

How did the party decoration business start

Both women fell into the business as a hobby. As friends and family were amazed by the designs, they started to book the two, and that's where the idea of turning a hobby into a successful business came about.

"I've always had an eye for aesthetically pleasing things, and it started in 2023. I decorated my son Jociah's birthday party, and everyone kept asking me who did it, and to their surprise, it was me," Viruet said.

Viruet recruited help from loved ones to get her visions off the ground; the father of her child cuts off the backdrops to create whatever comes to mind.

"Jociah's dad built the backdrop, and honestly, I didn't know he had that skill. It really surprised me," Viruet said.

Creativity comes alive at night

Herrero, a balloon artist who considers herself a perfectionist when it comes to her art, has been in the business for almost a decade and does not plan to stop.

"Sometimes, the ideas keep me up at night, and I can't sleep. I have all these ideas that I must execute," Herrero said.

Social media was a significant factor in the growth of Jociah Party Décor and Vivid Balloonss.

The businesses offer various party favors, including balloon art, bouncy houses, toddler soft play, bubble houses filled with balloons, cake pedestals, tables, floral arrangements, customized treats, and goodies.

"Our vision is simple yet profound: to bring our clients' visions to life, offering them a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish. We pride ourselves on being a one-stop shop for all event needs," Viruet said.

The goal is to make the experience as easy as possible so that customers can "relax" and know that the pair will have everything under control.

Running a party rental and décor business is not as simple as it seems, but it reaps significant rewards.

"Seeing a client's vision come to life is satisfying as a planner. Seeing how happy the families are with the final products melts all the stress away. Client satisfaction is our utmost priority, and we strive to create a comfortable and transparent environment. We believe that clear communication is the cornerstone of a successful event," Viruet said.
