Swifties Think Taylor's "Lavender Haze" Music Video Drop Is a Direct Response to John Mayer

So, yesterday John Mayer was minding his own business and decided to hop on Twitter and announce that he's going on tour in 2023, musing "Solo Tour 2023. Just like the early days. I’ll be playing old songs. Newer songs. Songs you haven’t heard yet that I’ll be road testing - all on acoustic, electric, and piano. Hope to see you there…"

His tweet was published at 7:50 am, and a mere hour-ish later Taylor Swift hopped online and announced that she'd be releasing her video for "Lavender Haze" at midnight.

And naturally, Swifties are reading into the timing of it all. Like, is it just a coincidence? Maybe. OR MAYBE NOT. As one person put it, "So basically john mayer tweeted that he was going to make an announcement on january 26th which divided by two is 13 which is OWNED by taylor swift AND also the age gap between them. to overshadow his announcement she announced the lavender haze mv which we knew existed alread-"
