Though most buyers wouldn't know it, the Land Rover Range Rover is actually one of the most capable SUVs on sale right now when it comes to towing.

The Cadillac Escalade rides on the same platform as the Yukon, Tahoe, and Suburban, but isn't able to put up the same towing numbers simply because it isn't available with the base engine.
Escalade owners have to make do with the bigger 6.2-liter V-8 if they want to most towing capacity from their SUV. They also have to make sure to spec their vehicles in short wheelbase form and include the Heavy-Duty Trailering package.
