Hokibar took the former Zoës Kitchen spot at 100 Ward Parkway. Zoës Kitchen temporarily closed at the start of the pandemic and then took its logo off the building in early 2021. Its other metro locations also closed. Cava, a fast casual Mediterranean restaurant chain, opened in a couple of former Zoës Kitchens in Overland Park.

Hokibar plans to open Saturday with menu items 40% off main dishes through Monday to introduce Kansas City to the concept.

It will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.

Hokibar Poke & Sushi BBQ also plans an Overland Park location in 2023.
