Superior Grill evacuated as over 20 units respond to Thursday night fire

As smoke billowed out of a Shreveport favorite over 20 Shreveport fire units worked to battle the blaze.

Just after 9:45 p.m. Shreveport Fire Department was dispatched to the 6100 block of Line Avenue on reports of a a fire at Superior Grill. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered flames coming from the roof.

The restaurant which typically closes at 10 p.m. was evacuated with no injuries reported by civilians or firefighters.

According to the fire department, significant damage to the roof and smoke damage throughout the building has been reported.

The origin of this fire is under investigation by Shreveport Fire Investigators.
