Future workshops will be announced on the Summit County sheriff and prosecutor’s social media pages and on the CCW section on the sheriff’s website, https://sheriff.summitoh.net/.

The workshops were started last year with the goal of educating residents on changes to concealed carry laws that went into effect in 2022. Nearly 100 people attended each of seven sessions offered in 2023.

The workshops include legal instruction from prosecutors and a safety primer by sheriff personnel.

The workshops are free and open to the public, though registration is required because seating is limited in each venue. To register, visit the CCW section of the sheriff’s website or mobile app.
