Athletes from Copley and St. Vincent-St. Mary high schools won the voting for the Summit County High School Athlete of the Week for April 22-28.

Alexis Walker of Copley is the girls winner and Connor Christie of STVM wins for the boys. Walker is a softball player and Christie is a baseball player. Walker received 52.78% of the votes cast. Christie received 65.24% of the votes cast.

A total of 1,197 votes were cast overall.

Alexis Walker, Copley softball

Blasted a grand slam home run and finished with five RBIs Wednesday in an 18-6 win over Barberton, and had two hits Thursday in a 6-5 win over Kent Roosevelt.

Connor Christie, STVM baseball

Capped a big week by going 3 for 4 with a triple and two RBIs Saturday in a 10-9 extra-inning loss to Perry. He also improved to 3-0 on the mound and had two singles, a double and an RBI Friday in a 7-1 win over Eastlake North.
