Summer concerts are selling out already at Idaho Center. Now this new one’s coming, Boise
It’s beginning to look like this summer could be the most epic concert season ever at the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater.
More than a dozen shows have been scheduled at the outdoor venue. Three are sold out already: Tyler Childers (Aug. 21), Hozier (Sept. 3) and Lainey Wilson (Sept. 14). Three more are “well on the way and will sell out,” Ford Idaho Center General Manager Andrew Luther said: Kenny Chesney (July 11), Luke Bryan (Aug. 2) and Jason Aldean (Sept. 6).
And now another new show just got announced: Dan + Shay.
The three-time Grammy-winning duo will bring The Heartbreak on the Map tour to the Nampa venue on Sept. 19. The opening acts will be Jake Owen and Dylan Marlowe.
Tickets become available to the general public at 10 a.m. Friday at fordidahocenter.com for $39.50 to $149.50 (plus fees). Presales have begun and run throughout the week.
Consisting of singers and songwriters Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney, Dan + Shay has powered its way to five albums of success with both country and pop audiences. The two men won the Grammy Award for Country Duo/Group Performance three straight times — from 2019 to 2021.
Some of Dan + Shay’s biggest hits include “Tequila,” “Speechless” and “10,000 Hours” with Justin Bieber. The men also were announced recently as the first-ever coaching duo on NBC’s singing-competition show “The Voice.”
In other words, tons of concertgoers will be stampeding this Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater concert.
More major shows are certain to be announced at the outdoor venue this summer. In the meantime, Boise concert fans also would be wise to keep an eye on the indoor arena.
