This summer, a brand-new entertainment experience is coming to Tri-Cities. A successful series of shows that have appeared across the globe, Candlelight Concerts, will be coming to town. The shows bring a classical music experience to candle-covered stages.

With six shows at the Uptown Theatre in Richland throughout the summer months, there will be numerous opportunities to experience a performance.

“Candlelight invites a broader audience that might have never considered a classical music concert before to connect with the most iconic pieces of the greatest composers and listen to the top hits of well-known artists in a different way,” states the press release from Candlelight Concerts.

The shows are aimed at expanding access to and interest in classical music, while enhancing the experience with the lighted effect.

Candlelight Concerts in Tri-Cities

There are three different shows coming to Richland, each of which will have two performances. They’ll each feature one-hour sets by the Listeso String Quartet, surrounded by thousands of candles for the ultimate viewing experience.

For safety purposes, the candles are flameless.

“Candlelight concerts bring the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to awe-inspiring locations like never seen before in Tri-Cities,” the press release states.

In June, the string quartet will perform a candlelight program featuring Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons,” among other classical works. In July, they’ll perform a Taylor Swift tribute show, and in August, a Coldplay tribute show.
