Succession star Kieran Culkin's new movie A Real Pain has confirmed its release date in the UK.

The film, also starring and directed by Jesse Eisenberg, is set to arrive in UK and Irish cinemas on January 10, 2025.

A Real Pain sees Culkin and Eisenberg play mismatched cousins Benji and David, who reunite for a tour of Europe in honour of their grandmother following her death, but they see old tensions rise against the backdrop of their family history.

In addition to the aforementioned duo, A Real Pain also stars The White Lotus' Will Sharpe, Dirty Dancing's Jennifer Grey, House of the Dragon's Kurt Egyiawan, A Small Light's Liza Sadovy, and Only Murders in the Building's Daniel Oreskes.

The film received positive reviews following its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, with aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes reporting a 91% approval rating from 53 reviews thus far, marking the film certified fresh.

Culkin is perhaps best known for his Emmy-winning role as Roman Roy in HBO's hit drama Succession, which came to an end after four seasons last year.

The actor reunited with his co-stars, including Nicholas Braun, Matthew Macfadyen and Alan Ruck, at the SAG Awards in February, where they picked up the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

"I think right now you're looking at some of the luckiest people on the planet and some of the most grateful because not only did we get to all work on one of the best television shows, you know, maybe ever, we made friends for life," said Ruck, who accepted the award on the cast's behalf.

"And I think the magic of Succession was that the writing was so fabulous. It inspired all of us to bring our A-game from the very beginning."

A Real Pain arrives in cinemas in the UK and Ireland on January 10, 2025.
