'Stupid Pet Tricks' Is Back! David Letterman's Silly Segment Is Now a Series
Sarah Silverman for "Stupid Pet Tricks"
One of the best classic David Letterman segments during his tenure on The Late Show was "Stupid Pet Tricks"—and now it's getting its own show!
Sarah Silverman will host Stupid Pet Tricks, and in her typical fashion, poked fun at Letterman when the show was announced.
"The rule in show business is, 'Never work with animals or children' but I choose to work with David Letterman anyway," she said in a statement at the time.
"David Letterman is an entertainment legend who changed the face of broadcast history with three simple words: 'Stupid Pet Tricks.' Not just anyone could carry on that legacy, except the wickedly brilliant Sarah Silverman," Brett Weitz, general manager of TBS, truTV and TNT said. "I have no doubt that her brand of comedy will bring heart and raw humor in a way that will capture the original heritage of ‘Stupid Pet Tricks’ and provide hilarious moments for a new generation yearning to seek truth and laugh till they cry."
