Which student-athletes from the Lower Hudson Valley put pen to paper on early signing day?

Numerous student-athletes with next-level ability made it official Wednesday, signing a national letter of intent to play in college. It's a binding document that locks in a one-year commitment to a specific Division I or II school in return for athletic financial aid. A number of signing ceremonies are scheduled across the Lower Hudson Valley in the days and weeks ahead.

The early-signing period for Division I football begins Dec. 20. The regular-signing period for Division I and II football is Feb. 7.

Here is a look at where some of the local headliners will be heading once they graduate. The information was provided by the high school athletic departments and coaches. We plan to add names as the student-athletes sign.

The list includes those who are heading to Division III colleges, which do not participate in the NLI program.
