Strictly Come Dancing star Zara McDermott has revealed she's battling "nerves and pressure" ahead of her Halloween week dance.

Zara and her pro partner Graziano di Prima will be dancing the Charleston to 'Jeepers Creepers' by Al Donahue & His Orchestra on this Saturday's (October 28) show.

Writing on her Instagram Stories, reality tv star-turned-documentary maker Zara said: "It's our last day of training today before Halloween week!!

"I definitely woke up this morning feeling the nerves and pressure to make myself proud this weekend, I realised that is down to me and how much I believe in myself, and how much I put into that performance on Saturday night.

"I am in control of that. I somehow managed to give myself a pep talk in the mirror and now all my nerves have gone! I am just excited to go and have fun! Just shows the power of the mind and perspective."

Zara found herself in the bottom two for the second time last week, having to face Eddie Kadi and Karen Hauer in the dance-off.

Following Eddie and Karen's elimination, Zara admitted her nerves had gotten the better of her on the dancefloor and she needed to try and conquer them for next week.

"Being in the dance-off for the second time was definitely not the easiest moment of our Strictly journey so far," she wrote on Instagram.

"I think I let those nerves get the better of me during our performance, and I knew I could have done better.

"I've made a promise to myself and Graz that this week I am going to work on controlling those nerves, and not letting them get in the way of me doing my BEST!"

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturdays and Sundays on BBC One, while spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two airs on weeknights on BBC Two. Both shows are available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
