Former Strictly Come Dancing spin-off host Rylan Clark has showed off a new hair transformation with fans online.

The TV personality has been sharing photos on Instagram of his trip around Venice as part of filming for his new travel show with Judge Rinder. Amongst the sunny snaps were two photos that revealed a new long hair style for the star.

Rylan simply captioned the first photo "...", uploading a close-up of his longer, dark hair with blonde highlights. Followers then saw more of Rylan's new 'do in a second snap, titled "Venezia".

Rylan's followers were quick to compare the presenter's new dramatic hair look with other celebrities known for their long locks. "JONATHAN VAN NESS???" wrote one fan, referencing a similarity to the Queer Eye star.

"Conchita is that u," commented another follower, mentioning 2014 Eurovision winner Conchita Wurst. There was an additional Eurovision similarity pointed out, with one Instagram user saying Rylan looked "practically the twin of Sam Ryder".

Other comparisons included country singer Billy Ray Cyrus and House of Gucci actor Jared Leto.

Some of Rylan's famous friends also gave their opinions on the star's new look. "Yassss," commented Blue boyband member Duncan James. Meanwhile, Steps singer Claire Richards wrote: "F**k's sake," alongside two laughing emojis.

In May, Rylan confirmed he was taking a break from his BBC Radio 2 show to "do some other bits and bobs".

It seems his current time off was arranged so he could film Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour. The series will see the pair follow in the footsteps of British aristocrats such as Lord Byron, who travelled abroad on a 'Grand Tour' as they became adults.

Rylan and Rob Rinder will venture to Venice, Florence and Rome for the series.

The new travel show is just one of two new exciting roles for Rylan, who stepped down as Strictly It Takes Two host in April. X Factor star Fleur East has since been announced as his replacement.

The presenter announced a new podcast series titled How to Be a Man in May, which is available to stream on BBC Sounds now.
