The line-up for the 12th series of Celebrity Antiques Road Trip has been announced, which includes Strictly Come Dancing favourites and a pair of Love Island winners.

The show, which returns to screens next week (October 10), will see Strictly professional Amy Dowden and former contestant Sara Davies, as well as Love Island 2022 winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti take to the road in search of interesting antiques.

Speaking to the BBC to discuss her experience on the show with close friend Amy, Dragon's Den star Sara said: "I'd always heard what an incredible adventure Antiques Road Trip is.

"Being with Amy made it even more special for me, and to be able to spend that time together and share the experience was just brilliant."

Dianne Buswell is also part of the line-up, alongside BBC presenter Owain Wyn Evans.

Meanwhile, Davide spoke of how much he enjoyed being a part of the show. "It was such a please to be part of the Celebrity Antiques Road Trip — from the nostalgic feeling of putting myself into an antique car, through the fun side of buying and selling antiques," he said.

He added: "There was healthy competition between Ekin and I, and we had lots of fun as we supported each other through the experience."

Several soap stars also feature in the cast for this series, including Amy Robbins, Michelle Hardwick, Laila Morse, Rita Simons, Tamzin Outhwaite, Amanda Barrie, and Colson Smith.

Craig Hunter, Creative Director of Factual at STV Studio, said: "We've been making this show for 12 years now and there's still no better feeling than seeing a new crop of celebrities get as excited and passionate about the world of antiques as we are.

"Series 12 is one of our best celebrity line-ups ever and I can't wait to share the series with our dedicated fanbase, as well as new viewers joining us for the first time."

Celebrity Antiques Road Trip returns on Tuesday, October 10 at 7pm on BBC Two and iPlayer.
